The Active Communities and Assets Team is currently seeking to engage a suitable professional for the position of Sports Planning and Projects Officer.


This exciting role provides planning and internal client support on sport and recreation projects identified through Council’s Capital Works Program. The successful applicant will have responsibility for a range of current and future projects as well as planning for funding applications through external agencies.


Key responsibilities will include;

  • scoping projects to formulate briefs for projects within Council’s Capital Works Program.
  • engaging with sports clubs, the community and other stakeholders in relation to sports projects.
  • providing support and advice to project managers throughout the planning, procurement and delivery of projects, from a sport and recreation perspective.  
  • liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders to understand their project needs.
  • supervision of the Sports Projects Officer.
